Meet Nick & George.Jorja Creighton
Welcome to our two new Waddle recruits Nick and George!
Meet Nick (pictured left) our new Marketing Manager and George who joined our engineering team. Both are key members of our small but expanding office. Our Sales Coordinator/ investigative reporter Jorja, took the opportunity to ask our new recruits some questions about their start with Waddle.
How was your first week George?
It was fantastic, everyone’s been very welcoming and I got to jump straight into coding! Also very happy to team up with Dom and Nathan again 🙂
How do you feel about sharing the office with a female Jorj?
I’m changing my name to Jeff. I just can’t compete with Jorja; name spells nicer, she was here before me and has done amazing bike trips across the globe (FYI I love travelling and biking just like the original Jorj).
Where have you come from?
Most recently I was at Macquarie Bank and prior to that, I was at Tyro Payments for about three years.
What are your first impressions of the Waddle office?
Relaxed, fun and productive. I like that I can hear sales or credit talking to clients and how people seem to naturally share their wins or losses throughout the day.
With a small team like ours, every new member brings energy and direction to the business. Welcome to the team guys.
How was your first week Nick?
I had a busy first week! The Waddle team were welcoming and I found myself in familiar territory, having moved across from a similarly sized business. I’ve been learning about what makes Waddle different and so much better.
We like to think we are different too! Tell us more!
Waddle leverages cloud-based technologies and automates much of the on-boarding and some of the risk assessment processes. I’m sure there’s much more to it, however, I’m primarily concerned with what our customers see and experience, first and foremost. Businesses benefit greatly from these innovations as they get much faster access to funds as they need them and they save a whole lot of time. Honestly, there’s no reason why any business in 2018 should be spending up to 15hrs per week administering “traditional” invoice financing facilities. Waddle is very different. It uses clever technology to save all that time and to keep costs low and unlike other facilities out there, Waddle doesn’t need to use lock-in contracts to force loyalty. Waddle is a much friendlier financing solution and I think customers recognise that immediately and that’s what makes Waddle different and better.
What are your first impressions of Waddle?
I love the branding and the very chilled office culture.
Where have you come from?
I moved across from contactSPACE, an innovative software company that provides cloud-based contact centre solutions to SMEs. I’ve also held senior marketing roles in travel, aviation and retail.
What are you hoping to achieve as our new Marketing Manager?
I’m looking forward to building our profile and getting the message across that we’re a much better alternative to other financial products out there. It’s obvious that I’ve bought into the product’s benefits very early on, and having confidence in the product just makes my job easier. We need to reach new markets in our sights so there’s a lot of work ahead and I’m really looking forward to making a significant contribution to the growth of Waddle and having fun in the process.
